Hello Mr. King

Chapter 47

Actually, He Shen could wait. Be it Huan Yu Century Entertainment or The Era of Stars, they would just assume that Old Man Min was merely trying to pressure her.

It was very clear that Yun Xiangxiang was not someone who would blindly listen to orders. If anything, she would just choose not to flourish in Hong Kong. When that time came, since Yun Xiangxiang had already gone against Old Man Min, she would definitely come to Huan Yu Century Entertainment for protection. If that happened, her conditions would definitely be reduced.

He Shen’s instincts told him that the chance for Old Man Min to call an unfamous mainland actor in order to pressure her was very low.

The involvement between her and Old Man Min must have been complicated. If not, he did not have to go through Han Jing’s phone to contact and invite her. He could have just sent some men to forcefully drag Yun Xiangxiang away, and nobody in Hong Kong would dare to stop him.

If that was so, then Old Man Min was not here to pressure her, but to escort her away.

It was obvious that Old Man Min was more biased towards The Era of Stars, although he knew the dirty side of it very clearly. He was planning to lobby Yun Xiangxiang into signing a contract with The Era of Stars using his name, and allow Yun Xiangxiang to rely on him. With that, she would be able to enjoy the best treatment available, and no one would dare to touch or threaten her.

As a successful businessman, He Shen knew that if Yun Xiangxiang were to go to the Min’s side, her condition would not be minimized, but will definitely increase if he didn’t accept her now.

Yun Xiangxiang had the Min Family behind her back, and had a close relationship with Han Jing. Hong Kong’s resources would be easily obtained by her with just a wave of her hand.

Although He Shen was also curious as to how Yun Xiangxiang got Old Man Mins attention, he didn’t plan to look any further into the matter.

After she bade He Shen goodbye, Yun Xiangxiang went to buy some gifts. Despite the fact that Old Man Min did not lack anything, she still prepared gifts out of courtesy since it’s her first time visiting.

As soon as it was dark, Han Jing came to fetch Yun Xiangxiang personally. This caused Yun Xiangxiang’s heart to warm a little.

The Min Family’s old house was much more traditional and grand compared to Han Jing’s villa. There were a lot of maids as well. When Yun Xiangxiang and Han Jing arrived, the young master of the Min Family came down personally to welcome them.

Min Yankai was the eldest grandson for the third-generation of the Min Family. He was twenty-four years old, and came back after graduating from a top university which was located overseas. According to rumours, he did not want to involve himself with the family business, but instead started an business with his peers.

He was tall, around 180cm. His eyebrows were thick, and his eyes were large. Maybe it was because of the dimples which appeared when he speaks, but he looked like a polite person and was easy to communicate with.

“Grandpa is in the study. He told me to invite Miss Yun to the study room to talk to him after you arrived.”

Min Yankai personally led Yun Xiangxiang into the villa, and brought her to the old man’s study room on the third floor. After he knocked and got the permission to enter, he pushed the door and ushered for Yun Xiangxiang to enter.

Min Yankai didn’t follow in. Even Han Jing was held back by a daughter-in-law of the Min Family to have a chit chat.

Old Man Min was wearing a chinese traditional suit. He stood in front of his writing desk and was holding a magnifying glass. His body was bent forward while using the magnifying glass to inspect a traditional painting.

Yun Xiangxiang stepped forward. The painting was a painting of the mountains. The painting had a signature “Huang Binhong” at the bottom. This painting’s price should worth a fortune.

“Little Yun, come and have a look and see if this painting is real or counterfeit,” Old Man Min waved to Yun Xiangxiang benevolently.

Yun Xiangxiang looked carefully before she said, “Old Man, I don’t have the ability to identify whether it is real or not.”

“I hear that you’ve studied arts before. How about you describe what this art is like?” Old Man Min then asked.

“Looking at this paint is like looking at a beauty. The beauty of a beautiful person is deep in the bones, not presented on the skin.”

Yun Xiangxiang smiled and said to Old Man Min, “The beauty of an art is based on it’s demeanor. Some paintings might look very outstanding at first, but you gradually grow tired looking at it; some painting looks plain, but slowly draws you in due to their uniqueness. There are even some which might look horrid at first glance because of how incompatible it is to your tastes, but as time passes, it slowly turns better, and you start to love it more the longer you look at it. Since you have looked at this painting for such a long time, what feelings does this painting give you? ”

“Haha.” Old Man Min smiled happily again, and looked at Yun Xiangxiang, ” The more I look at it, the more I love it.”

“It seems that this painting is a rare masterpiece.” Yun Xiangxiang concluded.

“This painting was given to me by my grandnephew as a token of respect,” Old Man Min told Yun Xiangxiang.

The Grandnephew he mentioned must have been the son of Chen Yinghui, which was also the representative sent by The Era of Stars in order to negotiate with her, also known as Chen Junjie.

Yun Xiangxiang nodded as she heard it, but did not automatically strike a conversation with him.

Old Man Min walked to the coffee table, and invited Yun Xiangxiang to have a sit. On the coffee table was a pot of tea that was boiled. Old Man Min personally poured a cup of tea for Yun Xiangxiang.

Yun Xiangxiang stood up and took the cup from Old Man Min in a formal manner. As she was holding the Tuan Feng ceramic cup and stared into the cup, she was dazzled by the golden brown color of the tea water as well as the aroma it emitted, which was different to others. She couldn’t help but lower her head to smell it.

Although Yun Xiangxiang was not a huge fan of tea, she was still unable to resist the temptation to drink it. As she drank the tea, her taste buds were filled with the aroma, and she felt refreshed after drinking it.

“How do you like it?” Old Man Min also had a sip.

Yun Xiangxiang nodded honestly. She had never drunk such good tea before, which could also elevate the mood very effectively. She felt as if her tiredness was dashed the instant she drank it.

“Haha, if you really like it, then I’ll ask someone to give you a can of it later.” Old Man Min was very generous.

“Thank you, Old Man.” Yun Xiangxiang really liked it, and did not reject the offer.

Although she knew that the tea offered by Old Man Min was definitely not ordinary, she did not know that it was the famous Darjeeling Tea, viewed as the champagne within tea. The tea tree was also located in the Himalayas.

The perfect growing environment allowed it to have a unique fragrance. The tea that Old Man Min drank was this kind of high-class tea, which is a rare object that cannot be bought even if you had money.

“Which company would you like to sign a contract with?” After drinking the tea, Old Man Min asked Yun Xiangxiang in a casual manner.

“Huan Yu Century Entertainment. I have reached a veral agreement with them. After they settle the contract, I can sign it.” Yun Xiangxiang told Old Man Min without holding back.

“What special treatment did He Zhen give you?” Old Man Min sounded like he was just caring for his offspring.

Yun Xiangxiang did not hide anything. She told him her requirements, and the conditions of Huan Yu Century Entertainment.

Old Man Min thought for a moment, “Go to The Era of Stars. I can offer you a better deal.”

Yun Xiangxiang shook her head.

“Even if you can come and go whenever you want, and you are free to pick the resources you desire, you still reject my offer?” Old Man Min asked.

Yun Xiangxiang still shook her head without hesitation.

“Why?” Old Man Min got curious all of a sudden.

“Old Man, I know that you feel like owing me a favour. But in all honesty, I just did not want to involve myself into it, and said what I heard.”

Yun Xiangxiang was very honest, “I do not know how much my act of self protection means to you. However, I do not want to gain anything from this. If I only wanted fame and money, I can just tell you directly. With your financial status, you can just drown me by giving me even a tiny percentage of your money. ”

“However, I want to rely on myself to see how far I can go. The honor others gives me doesn’t mean anything. Only by obtaining it myself can I continue to hold my head up high.”

Huan Yu Century Entertainment’s treatment was obtained through her own hard work. She did not even rely on Han Jing. She is able to enjoy them because she deserved it.
